Have you ever paid it forward?
I have been on a toll road and paid for the car behind me a few times, never knowing what the people thought it. I know that I felt good.
Well last Saturday my girlfriend and I were at a Dunkin Donuts drive thru to get some coffee and a sandwich which totaled about 10 dollars. When we pulled up to the window to pay, the girl was so happy (laughing) and suprised, and said today must be your lucky day! The car in front of you just paid your bill!
WOW what a feeling. So I said lets pay for the car behind us. The girl about fell over, she could not believe what was happening!
Some stranger made our day, and hopefully we made some other strangers day.
We know we all made the girl at the drive thru day. She was in amazement.
If you have not tried something like this, what a rush! Not only for us, but for them. It is nice to know that there are other nice people out there. And I am sure they felt good.

Sometimes when my wife and I go out for lunch or dinner, we observe the dining room and look for a table of people who we would like to pay for their meal(s). Sometimes it is a couple at other times a young family, it really doesn't matter to us at all. You are right it is a good feeling and it is fun to watch the reaction of the people.

I've helped people out when they've been short at the register before. When I've told them not to pay me back, but to pay it forward, they look at me like I'm from another planet.
