Bare Hill

I have a hill in back of my place that is as bare as a bowling ball. I have thought about putting some type of ground cover on it but I haven't decided which to do. Does anyone have any ideas for West Virginia area? It needs to be something low maintenance because it's so steep I can't mow it and low to the ground just because anything else would look messy. Any ideas?

Junipers . They are low growing evergreens . Great for ground cover on steep hills and banks .

Thanks Ashlar. I didn't even think of them. I may have to go on a Juniper hunt tomorrow. I was dreading even thinking of doing anything with it but it really needs something to keep the dirt from washing down the hill.
