Back to the thread, Some time ago now we put down our family dog, Rufus, after 17 great years of him being a member of the family. That hurt for quite a while. I still miss that damned dog.

I still call his name when I am yelling for my other two . It is amazing how attached you can get to them .

My old dog died the first day back to school last August. I still look for him under the table in the break room.
