QUEENSLAND'S highest ranking Freemason and former Gympie man Adrian Burton officially opened the Kilkivan Show and Campdraft Association grounds which were severely damaged in last year's floods.
Mr Burton, who is grand master of United Grand Lodge of Queensland, and his wife Regina travelled to Kilkivan for the opening of the refurbished facilities which included a new $40,000 announcer's box.
Mr Burton said Queensland Freemasons raised $1 million from January to December last year for victims of the Queensland floods and cyclone.
He said 33 clubs and organisations were recipients of the monies raised.
"All had no affiliation with the Freemasons but all had a need for assistance," he said.
