Over £3000 has been donated to the Sue Ryder hospice at Nettlebed.

Mrs Diana D’Archambaud presented the cheques to the hospice in memory of her late husband, Roy D’Archambaud of Rupert Close, Henley who had received care from the home in the last months of his life.

A large proportion of the money was donated by members of the Freemasonry in Berkshire.

Mr D’Archambaud was an active member of the Freemasons and took part in many aspects of the organisation. He was also a keen supporter of Sue Ryder, and a prime organiser in the presentation of a minibus to the charity over ten years ago. The Masons are continuing his plans for the minibus logos to be renewed in his memory.
