Masonary in Africa

I know that Masonary is big all around the world and that it has a history with the Knights Templars and i see alot of symbolism with Egypt like Pyramids and such. so i wonder are there many Lodges in Africa

I know there are quite a few Lodges in South Africa. Not sure about the rest of the continent though.

I checked this out for a person on facebook. African Lodges are governed by the Grand Lodge of Scotland. check their site out.

We have a Brother from our Lodge that lived in Africa. Not sure where, as I have yet to meet him. But I've heard some of his stories second hand on why he joined.

Masonry is quite active in many of the English-speaking countries of Africa. When I lived in Africa, I corresponded with the lodge in Mbabane, Swaziland. I never was able to attend. The National Grand Lodge of France, charters many lodges in French-speaking Africa.
