Questions over who Helston mayor John Boase’s “influential” supporters are has prompted him to deny they are Masons. The row comes after he announced he would finish his term of office as mayor and not stand down, following a vote of no confidence in his leadership last November. The UK made it a law that public officials must disclose Masonic membership. But after reading the quote from that Hollandaise guy, I think that is nuts that they have a law that says that public officials can't even belong to a Fraternity.
