There were no secret handshakes, sly nods or knowing winks observed inside the Charles A. Welch Masonic Lodge located on the third floor of 100 Main St. Rather, there was only the warm embrace of welcome and fraternity.
According to Lodge Master Dean Strom, the open house is a semi-annual affair and designed to welcome not only those who have an interest in becoming a Mason, but also for those who may simply be curious.
“It’s an opportunity for people if they have questions,” he said. “It opens the door for them.”
