Officer Installation

Masonic Traveler
My Lodge has Officer Installation scheduled for January 10th. I am starting the 6th (or is it 7th???) year of my life sentence as Secretary. We are going to have a first time Master this year for the first time in 6 or 8 years. He has a great attitude and has done really well in all the chairs so far, in fact he has already sceduled dates for Lodge certification. I couldn't be prouder of him, I was his top line signer.

Oh and BTW he lives 43 miles from the lodge hall.

What's Lodge Certification in Knee-Braska?
We don't use that term in NC. We have Schools of Instruction and Lecture Services...

Lodge Certification is when a lodge, with the elected and appointed officers, does the 3 rituals including the opening, actual ritual, lectures, charges, and the closing in the presence of a Deputy Grand Custodian. This takes quite a bit of effort on the part of everyone. There are several lodges in Nebraska that have some nice consecutive year streaks of being certified. I think the longest is 84 years. There is one lodge in Lincoln that is already certified for 2012.
