Just wondering if anyone would think I am crazy (above and beyond the normal crazy) if I started buying my kids shoes about 1.5 sizes too big. Just a few months ago we got them new shoes and even got them maybe a half size too big and now they are too small......I knew I should have started that feet binding thing when they were infants...
My parents went with the "thumb-knuckle" rule. The gap between where you feel the longest toe to the end of the shoe should be between your thumb nail and knuckle to allow for one year of growth.
I do it with my kids, especially my youngest. Otherwise we would be buying shoes every 3-4 weeks. As it is it's now every 6-8 weeks.
