SIOUX CITY, IA -- More then 16-hundred people are in town this weekend for the Midwest Shriners Association Convention.
14 Shrine temples make up the Midwest Shrine Association, including the Abu Bekr Shrine of Sioux City.
The last time a convention was held in Sioux City was twelve years ago and the next one wont be back for another fourteen years.
Shriners say the main reason they do what they do is for the kids.
"We're all about having fun and helping kids and you just cant get any better in life then that. We're the world's greatest philanthropy and we love it and we enjoy what we're doing," says George Mitchell, Midwest Shriner, Imperial Potentate.
