It's up to you, really. You can spend almost nothing tonged up and running. How expensive is it to get started?
I have. I'm not a big fan, though. It seems too "fake" to me.Does anyone on here use Echolink?
It is not at all hard, and the questions are relatively easy. I knew nothing about Amateur Radio, or electronics at all when I started. It is a fun hobby, and there are opportunities to help locally with things like EMComm ( Emergency Communications) and helping with parades, 5K runs and the like.I was thinkig of getting into ham radio. But not sure I can keep all the info questions & answers in my head
