I am the first in my family, that I know of, and hope to start a long tradition from here on out. My fiancee has several family members that were and are Masons, and she respects greatly and looks up to those men.. I think that's why she likes me... lol

I dont know if you use it over there, but in scotland they have a really nice piece of ritual, the lewis address, which the father would deliver upon the sons intiation... oh and no I`m not a lewis....

My Great Grandfather was a Mason, My Grand Father, My father, me, and now my son. Lewis's all!

I'm not a Lewis, but my father was Deaf and belonged to something called the National Fraternal Society for the Deaf (NFSD). I haven't found much research on them, since they dissolved in 2006/2007. 2006 is also the same year my dad died, so I can't ask him about it.
However, finding his NFSD pin among his belongings *did* eventually lead me to Masonry, so much like a Lewis, I have my father to thank for joining the fraternity.
