Describe in detail your favorite home-made sandwich from the bottom up.

---------------

I hate to say it, but I really do not have a single favorite. But I tend to go for the Reuben every chance I get. Classic, no frills. But I've had some other good sandwiches in my time.

Base layer...toasted white bread
1st layer...mayo
2nd layer...lettuce
3rd layer...tomato
4th layer... crispy bacon

I'm partial to peanut butter and honey sandwiches on potatoe bread. Simple and sweet with a nice glass of cold milk.

Elvis Presley's personal recipe...

Elvis' Peanut butter N' Nanner sammich...

Bottom up:
Texas bread (Use real butter not margarine to butter the outside of the bread on both slices)
Peanut butter (creamy not chunky) Spread on the insides of both slices of bread.
Fresh banana sliced length wise and then halved.
Texas bread (buttered as the first slice)

Fry in skillet or griddle until bread turns golden brown. Flip and repeat.

It sounds weird, But it is very good.

Hmmmm... top of the heap is the basic 1762 from Earl of Sandwich. Never found bread to beat it.

Sourdough baguette
Horseradish sauce
Good-quality roast beef
Swiss, nice and sharp.
Bake, eat, ponder ordering another.

Wish to hell the nearest one wasn't actually in Detroit Metro airport, or failing that, Orlando.
